Sometimes family can be invalidating without intention. Family conflict can result in anxiety, isolation and negative relationship patterns. Together we can learn how to set boundaries, how to communicate effectively and emotional regulating strategies to maintain our power.
If you are struggling with feeling invalidation from parents, relationship issues, feeling alone and struggling to fit in, let's work together to navigate these transitions. You may feel no one else understands leading to more feelings of isolation. My goal is to create a judgement free space for you because sometimes it isn't about removing the stress but learning to manage it more effectively.
I have been treating addiction for 4+ years and feel confident in setting up addiction treatment plan goals to help clients lead a sober and manageable lifestyle.
Dialectical behavior therapy is the mix between therapy and having a safe space to talk and the education of new effective coping skills. With DBT you can learn distress tolerance, emotional regulation, mindfulness and interpersonal effectiveness.
I believe the foundation of beginning to heal in therapy is the alliance between therapist and client. The alliance helps create a validating environment for you to be heard and supported.
