About My Clients
My practice is rooted in a person‑centered approach: I listen deeply, reflect your experience, and collaborate with you to clarify goals and find the path that fits your life. I work with people facing anxiety, trauma recovery, burnout, and relationship stress, helping them access their own resilience and make meaningful change. I work with adults, older teens, and couples. I always welcome clients from the LGBTQ community and other diverse backgrounds. My therapy centers around your voice!
My Background and Approach
I blend evidence‑based methods like DBT, CBT, exposure, mindfulness, person‑centered elements with the goal of tailoring interventions to each person’s goals, strengths, and context. I begin with a thorough assessment and shared goal setting, then use skills training, experiential work, and values exploration. Sessions include in‑session practice, between‑session assignments, and regular progress reviews. My view is that we, together, will co‑create a flexible plan that balances symptom relief with deeper meaning, resilience, and sustainable change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Personal beliefs: I believe therapy is a collaborative, respectful process where curiosity, empathy, and honesty create change. People already have strengths and resilience; my role is to help uncover those resources, teach practical skills, and hold space for meaning‑making. I value cultural humility, clear communication, and measurable goals so progress feels real and relevant. Interests: I enjoy creative expression, trauma‑informed approaches, and integrating mindfulness with evidence‑based techniques. Outside work I read psychology and fiction, hike local trails, practice watercolor, and explore community arts and wellness events. Since I work virtually, it is also very likely that one of my kitties will stop in the session to say hello from time to time.
