About My Clients
As your therapist, I will help you balance the dialect of acceptance and change in order to help you build your life worth living. I believe that our therapeutic relationship will help you thrive because you will learn how to regulate your emotions, communicate effectively, have better relationships, tolerate painful emotions, make effective choices, and to live in the present moment.
My Background and Approach
I have been in the helping profession since 2013 when I began working as a youth care worker in a residential treatment center. Since that time I have held multiple positions and internships that have helped shape and build my expertise as a mental health professional. I obtained my undergraduate degree from UW Platteville in 2013 and my Graduate Degree in Social Work from UW- Madison in 2017. I have experience working with people across the lifespan. I have experience working with people of all ages who are experiencing; mood disorders, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, self-harm, post traumatic stress disorder, substance use disorders and personality disorders. I am trained in dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational Interviewing, and treating developmental and relational trauma. In my practice I also draw on other treatment modalities to meet my client's needs.
