Why I Became a Therapist

In 2010, I had my first miscarriage, I was heartbroken, scared and my life felt like it was in a whirlwind. Questioning why this would have happened and will I ever be able to have a child. After talking to coworkers, friends, and family, I learned some of them had previous miscarriages. Something that to me at the time seemed so rare, was more commonplace than I thought. Miscarriage I feel like is such a hidden topic, but through hearing other’s stories I felt more connected to them and not so alone. My father struggled with addiction and mental health issues from a young age and this ultimately led to his passing. I wish someone had been there for him. These stories and experiences draw on my desire to help moms and families who struggle with depression and anxiety and support them through this fragile time and find relief. Some get to know me facts I was born in Southern California, I've had 2 pregnancy losses, I have 2 wonderful daughters, I love to read, and I love to laugh.
