About My Clients
My clients often come to me facing a variety of life challenges: depression, anxiety, adjustment issues and substance use. I use a collaborative approach where you are the expert in your life and help empower you to overcome life challenges. I provide a support environment that assists you with self-discovery and breaking negative patterns and cycles.
My Background and Approach
Life can have a variety of challenges, however there is hope to overcome any challenge. I believe everyone is capable of change and overcoming difficult life obstacles. I use a collaborative approach which empowers the individual on their journey. I ensure therapy is conducted in supportive, safe and nonjudgmental environment. I work in private practice setting focusing on mental health and substance use. I have experience working with court mandated clients specifically parenting and DWI cases, children, adolescents and adults. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, adjustment issues, depression, self-esteem, trauma, grief, substance use and other mental health issues. I earned my Masters in Clinical Mental Health from Gardner-Webb University in 2020 and Licensed in the State of North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Faith has always been an important part of my life, and my Christian values guide the way I show up with compassion, integrity, and respect for every person I meet. I believe in the dignity and worth of all people, and I’m committed to creating a safe, affirming space for clients of every background. I also believe that faith and justice go hand in hand. My work is rooted in both personal healing and the larger need for social justice, recognizing the ways our communities and systems impact our well-being. I support LGBTQ+ individuals and families, and I welcome clients who want a therapist who holds space for both spirituality and inclusivity. My hope is to walk alongside you with empathy, hope, and encouragement, while honoring your unique story and identity.
