About My Clients
I specialize in working with children (12+), teens, and adults struggling with everyday life difficulties, body image struggles, as well as eating disorders. I also work with neurodivergent teens and adults that are navigating life living in a neurotypical world. I Together we will work towards greater self acceptance and compassion, as well as creating and maintaining healthy relationships.
My Background and Approach
The strategies that I use in my sessions include tools that I have used in a variety of treatment settings, including outpatient, all the way to residential treatment centers. I help my clients connect more to their bodies and understand how the external world is impacting their internal experiences. I support my clients in working on building these strategies together. I will push my clients to explore parts of themselves they may be too scared to address on their own, but I will always go at the pace that feels the most comfortable for them. My primary modalities for supporting individuals, I provide an eclectic approach including DBT, RO-DBT, ERP, IFS and CBT modalities. For families with children struggling with eating disorders I include Family Based Therapy strategies as well as Emotion Focused Family Therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a member of both the LGBTQ and neurodivergent community, I am passionate about creating a therapeutic space that feels most affirming for my clients. Having my own private practice has allowed me to create a therapeutic space that is not always accessible or affirming for individuals in these communities. I love helping individuals learn how to navigate a world that has not been created with them in mind, but it is more than possible to have an extremely fulfilling life.
