About My Clients

I work with people of all ages, races, and creeds, but the coaching clients I work best with are those who are struggling with respecting their needs, desires, and commitments to self. When in the therapist's chair, I especially connect with clients who are processing childhood trauma and working to separate their sense of self from their origin family or other similarly inherited communities.

My Background and Approach

I'm a certified personal trainer and recovering journalist pursuing a master's degree in clinical social work with the hopes of becoming a licensed therapist. In the meantime, I offer mental health and personal development coaching and tarot reading, for those so inclined. Suppose you're hoping to find some clarity and new perspectives, increase your sense of purpose and determination, start respecting the commitments you make to yourself, and make marked progress toward improving your everyday life. If that's the case, I'm here to help. Not sure? If you're feeling lost and confused about where to go from here, reach out for a free consultation, and we'll see if coaching can help.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that many of us turn processes into events, letting us fall into the trap of thinking there's no way out of our current situation. But there are always paths forward, though we can't always see the steps in front of us. Much of my perspective of therapy and its benefits are informed by my understanding of complex trauma, brain development, and attachment theory, as well as my preferred theoretical modalities, which include relational-cultural and intersectional feminist therapy. I am all for equity and strive to act in accordance with my values, of which equity is one, in all aspects of my life. As a human, I fail. As your coach (and hopefully one day therapist), I welcome being corrected and the ensuing self-reflection and education that ensures I'll do better next time.
