About My Clients
Are you overwhelmed by your thoughts and emotions, by world events and injustices? Are you a neurodivergent and/or creative individual? Do you struggle with self-image, self-esteem? Are you an athlete and/or dancer with big goals and body-image issues? I work with these types of clients and more. We process stress, trauma and mental overwhelm using a whole-person approach. Talking, expressive arts, movement and somatic mindfulness are all ways in which we can work towards healing and wholeness.
My Background and Approach
I tailor my therapeutic approach to each individual client, pulling from a combination of somatic, cognitive and expressive arts therapies. My background is in dance and martial arts, as well as bodywork and energy work healing practices and this greatly informs my whole-person approach to wellness. I received my Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Bastyr University in June 2023, including experience working at an internship from October 2022 through July 2023 with a variety of adult and adolescent individuals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Human beings are affected both by internal and external phenomena. My belief is that the more aware we are of what precisely is affecting us and how, the more we can see where we have personal power and where we can create shifts and changes to bring us more into alignment with who we are. Being open to learning on a deep scale why we do what we do, why we think what we think, or about the source of our emotional turmoil, can uncover some unexpected parts of us. Uncovering and compassionately accepting all parts of us leads to greater harmony with who we really are. To me, deep self-understanding is the root of wellness. I believe human purpose is to align with our true nature and I am committed to supporting those who want to know themselves on a deep level, and thus helping to alleviate the world's suffering.
