My Background and Approach
For many of us, asking for help can feel more like climbing a mountain or even a weakness. Asking for help or support is an act of courage. My experiences have taught me that we can all be resourceful and resilient, and when we have a safe space to share our stories and feel heard we are able to move forward from the most difficult moments in our lives with renewed hope. A caring, trusting therapeutic relationship is also key to fostering change and healing in and outside of the therapy session. I approach therapy holistically and promote an environment of acceptance, collaboration, and compassionate support. I strive to make the therapy experience meaningful, informative, and empowering. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am passionate about and attuned to the interplay of family and systemic influences. I draw on the resources and strengths that are available to my clients. When appropriate I provide education and training on new skills or coping strategies. I am someone upon whom others often count on because of my reliability and consistent values. My promises to others are of paramount importance to me. I go out of my way to support, inspire, motivate, or embolden people. Affirming others for who they are and celebrating their unique gifts is very important to me.
