About My Clients
You’re the “strong friend,” the one who gives great advice but lowkey cries in the shower. I see you. I help young adults of color dealing with anxiety, identity, trauma, and just trying to make adulthood make sense. Whether you’re tired of people-pleasing or just tired in general, therapy with me is a space to exhale, get real, and start healing—for you this time.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in Texas, supervised by Denny Singh LPC-S, LCDC. I specialize in working with young adults of color navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, identity shifts, and “what now?” life transitions. My background in teaching and my own lived experience shape how I show up in the room—real, relatable, and ready to meet you where you are. I integrate Narrative Therapy, DBT skills, and Solution-Focused techniques, always through a culturally responsive and trauma-informed lens. My goal isn’t to “fix” you—it’s to help you reclaim your voice, rewrite the story you’ve been handed, and build a life that feels true to you. Whether you’re managing the weight of generational trauma, trying to break cycles, or just need a space where you don’t have to code-switch, I’ve got you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should feel safe, not dry. That means no judgment and no performative support. Healing happens best when we don’t have to leave parts of ourselves at the door. I’m a Black woman, a Christian, a cycle-breaker, and a firm believer in generational healing. I welcome clients from ALL walks of life and am committed to creating a space where every part of you can show up and be honored. My faith shapes how I show up—with compassion, grace, and respect—never as a weapon or agenda. Faith can be part of our work if it’s important to you; I hold space for your values, your story, and your healing journey. You don’t have to be like me for me to care deeply about your wellbeing. I’m here for the late bloomers, the overthinkers, and the ones trying to raise themselves while still healing from their past. When I’m not in session, I’m with my family (which includes my dog) or creating tools to make therapy more accessible.
