About My Clients
You’re constantly doing for others but when it comes to yourself, you’re lost. You may not even know what your interests are now because the focus has been on everyone & everything else. You know what to do, but you aren’t doing it. You’ll be the biggest cheerleader for the people most important to you, but you don’t take your own advice. Having all-or-nothing tendencies has only gotten you so far. You want to be comfortable in your own body.
My Background and Approach
I'll help you learn how to panic slowly. This will give you & your brain time to think about what's happening, how you want to respond, & how your behaviors may (or may not) match up. We'll work together to help you figure out why you think the way you do by exploring core beliefs, and possibly ditching some of those for new, fancier versions. I've worked in healthcare settings for most of my career & understand the mind + body connection. My approach is to consider both your physical & emotional bodies when working through life transitions or managing symptoms of mental health. We'll take two paths on this journey. One to explore the past you and one to envision the future you. Without taking into consideration your past experiences, it can be hard to start to move forward. Also, I've worked with people who have had bariatric surgery, struggled with their weight for most of their lives and those who have an unhealthy relationship with food.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe the best way to promote wellness is to feel connected in some sense to something. I also believe that animals, music, & going outside can do more for us than we think.
