My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing from a Holistic and Humanistic approach which basically means I believe that people are good, you are good, and that all aspects of your life matter. The Holistic approach means treating the whole person touching on all aspects of health, physical, mental and emotional while considering social llofe to be equally important. Humanistic approach emphasizes empathy and a skill of hearing what you have to say while focusing on what exactly is effecting you in your life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a cisgender female and I am LGBTQ ally. I am also a Lesbian and Bisexual Women's ally. I believe there are more similarities than differences. No matter what our sexual orientation or ethnicity we all are susceptible to life's challenges. Human vulnerability is the common thread. Psychotherapy is about having a private space and time to feel heard and work through difficult times in one's life. A time in which a person can figure things out and push through to the other side. My practice provides a safe place for you to think and express your feelings. I believe when a person feels heard and experiences validation that experience goes a long way in their personal lives. I have been afforded the opportunity, as a psychotherapist, to be witness to the positive ripple effect therapy has in people's lives. I want to support you as well in finding peace, love and joy in your life.
