About My Clients
We often keep reproductive health experiences to ourselves or are responded to in unhelpful ways by those we confide in... which leads us to suffer in silence. But it doesn't have to be that way. Evidence-based tools, skills and support can make all the difference! I can help you learn to thrive through pre-conception, infertility, pregnancy after infertility, loss, the postpartum period, and up through the toddler years.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed mental health counselor and clinical coach with 20 years of experience. I believe that with the right tools, information and an objective and supportive guide, you can learn to navigate life the way you want to, despite the challenges. My personal experiences have led me to specialize in Reproductive Health because issues such as Infertility, pregnancy loss, perinatal challenges, abortion, and adoption are often not discussed. I've had so many clients disclose these experiences in counseling by saying, "I've never told anyone this but..." The tragedy in this is that we end up going through some of these experiences either alone or without the kind of support we need. This can lead to strain on relationships, anxiety about our health and well-being or those of our loved ones, and even depression or trauma. You are not alone and I am here to help.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Counseling should be a safe space free of judgement about you, your background or your choices. I believe strongly that you are the expert in your own life. My role as a therapist is simply to provide support, education, perspective and tools for you to walk your own path with peace and joy. I provide unbiased reproductive health counseling and support clients with a wide range of beliefs and decisions about their own family building journey. The decisions you make in your life should reflect your values, not mine. I also support LGBT couples and SMBCs who are trying to conceive.
