About My Clients
I work with clients in the LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent communities to address unique experiences stemming from their intersecting identities, systemic discrimination, and inflexible societal constructs. At the beginning of our work together, we will focus on building safety and trust. This will allow us to dive deep into the issues that you would like to focus on when you feel ready.
My Background and Approach
You deserve to live a life full of joy in which you are accepted and cared for. I believe that everyone has what they need within them to change, heal, and grow. You have the power to make your life what you want it to be! Choosing to begin the journey of understanding your story is one of the bravest things you can do, and I would be honored to walk with you. I am passionate about validating the experiences of those who have been underserved by our health systems. I have a strong interest in intersectionality, building healthy relationships, and teaching skills around setting boundaries, self-advocacy, and emotional regulation. I work with others in a strengths-based, person-centered style and strive to meet clients where they are at to empower them to realize their potential and take control of their lives. My therapeutic style is warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental with a healthy amount of humor.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy is most effective when a supportive and trusting therapeutic relationship is created. For this reason, I tailor my approach to each of my clients' unique needs. Our initial meeting will be the first step in building a safe and respectful relationship. I will be present and supportive as I learn about your experience and what goals you have for yourself. I strive to meet clients where they are at and support them in the way that works for them. I am flexible in my approach and my goal is to help each person reach their goals in a way that makes them feel supported, empowered, and affirmed.
