About My Clients
You learned early on to care for others while your own needs went unseen or neglected. The strategies you developed to cope with emotionally immature or harmful caregivers make connection more difficult in adulthood. You feel exhausted from overthinking and people-pleasing. For biracial & multiracial folks, identity invalidation, loyalty conflicts, or belonging anxiety can add layers of childhood wounding. Pressure to fit monoracial frameworks can deepen alienation, even within your own family.
My Background and Approach
I’m an EMDR-trained, relational therapist helping biracial & multiracial adults work through childhood harm and identity wounds. In therapy I offer a steady presence where your full experience is seen and held. Together we move at your pace integrating insight and nervous-system regulation to process childhood and identity wounds. Along the way, we work to strengthen boundaries so you can develop a more grounded and secure sense of yourself. EMDR can be part of the process to move through distress and support healing. Over time, this work can deepen your connection with yourself and cultivate a stronger sense of belonging.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe our earliest relationships create the foundation for how we see ourselves and the world, and how we connect with others. At the same time, community, culture, and social systems influence both our wounding and our healing. Identity wounds often form within meaningful relationships—sometimes even in loving families—and can affect our sense of worth and belonging. I believe healing happens in a safe, attuned relationship. I look forward to connecting with you.
