About My Clients
Uncertainty, fear, frustration are all words we use when trying to describe how we feel. Whether depressed, anxious, going through a breakup, stress from our job or classes, we all get bogged down by feeling helpless, angry, boxed in by our circumstances. I specialize in working with adults struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD/trauma, life transitions, substance abuse, grief, bipolar disorders, LGBTQ+ (friendly and supportive) issues, and more.
My Background and Approach
I provide a confidential, supportive environment where you can openly express your thoughts, concerns, and emotions. By actively listening and offering evidence-based therapeutic approaches, I help clients gain insight, develop resilience, and find practical solutions. My goal is to support you through difficult times, equipping you with coping strategies and guiding you on a path of healing and self-discovery. In our first few sessions, you can expect to gain confidence, personal growth, and valuable skills to help you reach your goals. My approach is person-centered, meaning your needs and objectives are my priority. I have worked many years in the mental health field because I am deeply passionate about helping people, and I am here to support you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community. I have volunteered to assist in research through a local university on how to better serve addicts and substance abusers in my community with the goal of staying out of jail/prison and helping with finding stable jobs, transportation issues, healing the family, and helping the client live drug free and meeting their personal goals for a happy and successful life.
