About My Clients

I work with teens and young adults who often look like they have it completely together on the outside, but on the inside are carrying what feels like an impossible weight. You might find yourself stuck in cycles of perfectionism, over-functioning, or constant people-pleasing. You may be navigating grief for the first time, feel like the world is stacked against you and just need a place to feel like you're not alone.

My Background and Approach

I believe that you already hold the internal wisdom in you required to heal. But we aren’t meant to carry our burdens alone. In our work together, there is no expectation or standard format besides to just show up. Some weeks you might just need to vent, feel seen, and other weeks you might need to cry. We may play a game, go for a walk, make art, listen to music, and spend time looking backward to help you move forward. Our work will be a customized mix of what feels best for you, mostly rooted in an Internal Family Systems (IFS) lens. This means we will explore and get to know the different parts of you to help you be your most authentic and whole self. I am also trained in eco-therapy, which means that we may bring the natural world into our work in the therapy room, walk outside, or incorporate nature based mindfulness into our sessions. Eco-therapy tools can help you navigate your day to day confidently outside the therapy office.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I spent most of my teenage and college years denying my own emotions, needs, anxiety, and grief. I felt shame that my brain worked in a different way than others, but didn't have language to describe it. It wasn't until my 20's when I received my ADHD diagnosis that I could begin to embrace this part of my identity. Now I feel passionate about supporting other young people who are looking to understand and embrace all parts of themselves. I practice from a systems-rooted, trauma-informed, neurodivergent-inclusive, anti-oppressive lens. This means I recognize that you don’t exist in a bubble. The world around us, society’s expectations, and the systems we have to navigate every day impact how we feel and who we are. My goal is to help you handle the heavy pressures of the world while finding the tools and relationships that make you feel secure and supported.
