My Background and Approach
Alexus earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and is currently advancing her expertise through a Master’s program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Having called Lynchburg home for several years, she brings over two years of dedicated experience in the mental health field, with a significant focus on supporting children and adolescents within school environments. These foundational years deepened her passion for helping individuals and families build resilience while navigating life’s most difficult transitions. In her practice at Hill City Counseling, Alexus utilizes a collaborative counseling and co-counseling model to provide multifaceted care. She approaches every session through a biblical worldview, offering to integrate spirituality for those who desire it while deeply respecting and honoring each client’s individual culture and background. Her therapeutic style is centered on creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel empowered to explore struggles.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Faith, Community, and Resilient Growth I believe that true healing involves the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. My approach is grounded in a biblical worldview, and I am honored to integrate spirituality into our sessions for clients who find it central to their healing. My faith is not just a belief system but a call to action, which I live out through my "go-getter" spirit, balancing my professional roles while actively volunteering at my local church. I am deeply committed to honoring the unique cultural and spiritual background of every individual, ensuring a safe space where your personal values are respected and elevated.
