I'll provide the safety needed to get curious about long held beliefs and patterns. I'll walk with you as you try on more authentic and secure ways of showing up in the world.
My Background and Approach
I completed my training at San Francisco State University and spent many years working in community mental health in the bay area. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with training in somatic therapy. My goal is to create a collaborative and empowering space for you to connect with the most authentic part of yourself, so you can feel more secure, calm, and content. My approach is holistic. I continuously seek out training and certifications in areas such as trauma, developmental/attachment injuries, somatic therapies, inner child healing, brain and nervous system based interventions, and emotion focused therapies. The tools I use in session are grounded in these orientations. The resources I will teach you have helped others like you resolve traumatic experiences, feel less depressed and anxious, and feel more secure with themselves. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My practice is a safe place for all. I am committed to providing inclusive therapy and welcome any person seeking my support, regardless of their identities or experiences. I believe that mental health issues are really just learned patterns that develop in response to our experiences, and for good reason. Whether within oppressive systems or one on one relationships, our experiences directly impact our sense of self, oftentimes leading us to detach from the authenticity that wasn't safe to show. But authenticity's roots run deep. Hidden underneath all those patterns is an authentic self that embodies security, wisdom, confidence, and nurturance. This part holds the key to who we are, what we need, and what we want. This part embodies realistic perspectives, balanced beliefs, and the ability to self-soothe. It is this authentic self that I am committed to guiding my clients toward. You don't have to be alone anymore. Let's heal and restore that secure sense of self so unique to you!
