About My Clients
My clients are children/adolescents who struggle with appropriately managing their emotions, need help navigating social interactions and/or transitions, have trouble managing stress, and those who suffer from depression and/or anxiety.
My Background and Approach
As a school social worker, I understand the importance of continuing care through the summer and engaging in supplemental services during the school year. I know that finding such care can be challenging, but I hope that I can make things a bit easier! My approach to therapy is always one of warmth, empathy, and understanding. I am laid back and non-judgmental, and I will always find creative ways to best suit the specific needs of those who I am working with. I use a lot of mindfulness and arts-focused techniques in my practice, and enjoy combining such strategies with other evidence-based modalities.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every child has the potential for greatness, and sometimes they just need help to see the way to their success. As a child, I suffered from severe anxiety and panic attacks. Throughout my own adolescence and adulthood, I received professional help to better manage my symptoms and regain control over my life. I'm not sure that I would have been able to get to where I am now without help, and I want to make sure that I can provide that same type of support to the next generation. I am open to working with all humans, regardless of race, sexual orientation, or gender. I take active steps to ensure that my practice is that of cultural competency and respect. When working with me, you will feel heard, seen, and free to express your truest thoughts/feelings without fear of judgment. If you have any questions or want to know more about me, please reach out!
