About My Clients
Alexis has experience working in inpatient hospital facilities , long term residential facilities, substance abuse treatment facilities and outpatient private practice. She specializes in group and individual therapy with children, teens, adults, and families. She has experience treating individuals with various mental health issues including: trauma, depression, anxiety, anger, suicidal ideations, psychosis, substance abuse, ADHD, ODD, general behavioral problems, and self-esteem.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic orientation of choice is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), but I also utilize Art, Play, Narrative Therapy, and Trauma Therapy in sessions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Alexis’ desire for her clients is for them to have a judgment free space where they can feel at ease and comfortable while learning to cope with day to day life. Alexis desires for clients to come into session with an open mind and preparedness to do the work to conquer their greatest issues. Her ultimate goal is for the client to learn the skills they need in therapy so that they can go out and impact the world in a positive way.
