About My Clients
You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or weighed down by life’s challenges—and you’re not alone. My practice is designed for adults 18 and older who want a safe, supportive space to heal and grow. Many of the clients I serve are navigating the impact of trauma, adjusting to major life transitions, or simply seeking better balance in their emotional and physical well-being. I am especially passionate about supporting women through the unique challenges of womanhood, including perinatal and post
My Background and Approach
As a dual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of medical experience, I bring a unique whole-person perspective to care. My background spans Level One emergency room trauma, outpatient clinics, crisis stabilization units, inpatient psychiatry, and skilled nursing homes, equipping me to support clients through both everyday challenges and complex mental health needs. I specialize in trauma-informed care, women’s mental health, and veterans/military services—areas where compassion and cultural awareness are essential. By blending my expertise with evidence-based therapies such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, I help clients build resilience, gain clarity, and develop practical tools to improve their daily lives. My education, including dual master’s degrees, ensures that clients benefit from both advanced knowledge and deeply personalized care.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that mental health care should be compassionate, accessible, and rooted in respect for every individual’s unique story. My values are grounded in authenticity, cultural humility, and equity, and I strive to create a safe space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered. I strongly identify with the mission of Postpartum Support International, an organization dedicated to increasing awareness and resources for perinatal and postpartum mental health. Supporting women through the challenges of pregnancy and postpartum is deeply important to me, as I believe no one should face these transitions alone. Beyond women’s health, I am an advocate for trauma-informed care, veteran and military mental health services, and reducing barriers to care. My commitment is to help individuals heal in ways that not only restore their personal well-being but also strengthen families and communities.
