About My Clients
I specialize in 1) empowering high-achieving professionals quiet their inner critic and manage stress to feel more confident; 2) helping pregnant & postpartum people feel more connected & present; 3) helping couples improve communication and intimacy, restore trust & develop a lasting bond. Many of my clients are members of the AAPI/BIPOC communities, children of immigrants, pregnant & postpartum people/parents, couples, and professionals in high stress fields such as tech, law and healthcare.
My Background and Approach
While I flexibly incorporate many different evidence-based approaches, I find mindfulness, self-compassion, and acceptance-based interventions to be especially transformational. I regularly support clients with issues such as navigating imposter fears, self-criticism, perfectionism, perinatal mood and anxiety concerns, life adjustments, and relationship concerns. I am certified in perinatal mental health and have advanced training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), which is considered a gold standard treatment approach for couples. My hope is that you will feel seen, empowered, and more self-compassionate and connected to your strengths over the course of our work together.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a biracial Asian American woman, child of an immigrant, and parent, I am attuned and sensitive to how cultural and familial influences shape our lens of ourselves and the world. My approach is evidence-based, culturally affirming, trauma-informed, and rooted in social justice principles. Clients describe me as warm, compassionate, and collaborative. In addition to a psychologist, I am also a Bay Area native, intersectional feminist, and foodie. In my free time, I enjoy baking, listening to podcasts, traveling, hiking, and dabbling in watercolor painting and pottery. I love what I do and would be honored to support you on your journey.
