About My Clients
People enter therapy for a multitude of reasons, whether it’s due to a significant trauma, difficulty navigating relationships or just to feel supported and heard in their lives. In today’s burdensome world, it’s important to take time to care for our minds and address any areas that may be hindering us from living our most authentic lives. I help clients identify their intentions for therapy, provide genuine support and provide them with the tools that allow them to unlock their own potential.
My Background and Approach
I take a collaborative, anti-oppressive, queer positive and eclectic approach when working with clients and strive to meet each client where they are in their healing journey. I have experience treating adults, teenagers and adolescents who come to therapy to address trauma, anxiety, depression and self-esteem and identity concerns. I believe that the therapeutic relationship provides clients with the model for healthy and supportive relationships outside of therapy and creates a safe space for clients to feel comfortable being vulnerable. Therefore, I show up for my clients however I can and provide genuine empathy and support. I utilize CBT, DBT and Relational Therapy to help clients explore their unhelpful thoughts and build concrete skills for building solid relationships not just with others, but with themselves.
