About My Clients
In my role as a clinical psychologist and former military psychologist, I recognize the unique challenges professionals encounter. My commitment is to establish a secure space for individuals, like yourself, to address issues such as work-related burnout, sleep disturbances, trauma, and grief. My practice is founded on principles of confidentiality, empathy, and evidence-based approaches. Together, we'll navigate personalized strategies to enhance your mental well-being, and resilience.
My Background and Approach
I'm Dr. Steinbrueck, a licensed clinical psychologist in Minnesota, with a doctoral degree from the California School of Professional Psychology. My journey includes an APA-accredited internship at Hazelden Betty Ford and an APA-accredited fellowship with the U.S. Navy, focusing on substance abuse and trauma treatment. Over the past decade, I've addressed diverse mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship concerns. Notably, many of my clients have been fellow professionals who grapple with the unique stressors of demanding careers. My time as an active-duty psychologist earned me the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal. I'm also trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy and Prolonged Exposure, regularly applying these approaches in my work with active-duty service members and as an outpatient civilian psychologist at North Memorial Hospital. I was a founding provider in North Memorial's Intensive Outpatient Trauma program and am trained in CBT-I.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Throughout my life, immersed in the world of professionals, I've witnessed the profound impact their roles can have on mental well-being. From anxiety and case-related rumination to sleep issues, performance fears, litigation concerns, work-related trauma, imposter syndrome, and grief, the toll is evident. This personal insight has fueled my desire to establish a sanctuary—a confidential haven where these dedicated individuals can find solace and support.
