My Background and Approach
My practice is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and tailored approaches to meet each client’s unique needs. I offer support in a wide range of areas, including: • Trauma and Recovery: Healing from sexual abuse, domestic violence, and other traumatic experiences. • Youth and Families: Strengthening relationships, managing anger, and fostering emotional growth. • Couples Counseling: Building stronger connections and overcoming challenges together. • Faith-Based Counseling: Providing Christian counseling for those seeking a spiritual foundation in their healing journey. • Addiction and Recovery: Guiding individuals through the complexities of substance use and addiction recovery. • Grief and Loss: Navigating the emotional process of loss and finding pathways to healing. • Solution-focused and Short-Term Therapy: Empowering individuals to identify goals and create actionable solutions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Everyone is capable of overcoming barriers in their lives when they have the support systems in place and can have their gaps met. We all deserve compassion, grace, and understanding and when we provide those things to each other, we can be a stronger and more altruistic society. I've learned through my own life experiences and professional experience, that people are more than just one specific moment or detail. A single experience or mistake does not define you. Self-love and acceptance can go such a long way when navigating your healing journey. When I work with clients, I always do my best to partner with them in identifying their strengths and utilize those when finding the best tools for them. Post-Traumatic Growth (PTG) is an approach I take in life, going through difficult moments can teach you positive things and highlight the amazing qualities you have inside; sometimes it just takes stepping back, taking a deep breath, and mindfully reviewing yourself and your experiences.
