About My Clients
I specialize in therapy for women, children, and teens who have experienced trauma, anxiety, and sexual abuse. If that’s you, I want you to know that there’s life after trauma. There’s success. Excitement. Celebration. Joy and the quiet of calm. (Hey, even boredom!) After trauma, there can be contentment. There’s space for you here, in a safe and supportive environment where you can process your thoughts, make sense of your feelings…And begin to heal the impact of trauma to your mind and heart.
My Background and Approach
Since graduating with a Masters in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Central Florida, I’ve worked in outpatient clinics, school settings, juvenile detention centers, domestic violence centers, and with women and children who’ve been sexually abused or experienced other trauma. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. That means I can see you in person in my Orlando, FL office or via telehealth/online therapy throughout the state of Florida. I’m certified in EMDR and in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I also have a certificate in play therapy for children. I use a combination of these and other techniques to make sure each one of my clients gets the therapy experience they need and deserve.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I practice inclusivity, respect diversity, and I’m here to support all marginalized communities. This includes the LGBTQIA community and clients who are Black or Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC). For more information about my practice, Beyond Brave Counseling LLC, please check out my website.
