About My Clients
I specialize in working with individuals who feel overwhelmed by their emotions, disconnected from themselves, and/or out of control - especially during seasons of transition like pregnancy, postpartum, or major life changes. Together, we'll work to understand what's underneath these patterns so you can feel more grounded, supported, and in control.
My Background and Approach
I graduated with a Masters in Counseling Psychology with a focus on Health Psychology. During my Masters program I completed my practicum at Presence St. Joseph hospital where I worked in Intensive Outpatient Programs with individuals coping with depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, and Bipolar I and II disorders. After graduating and working with a wide variety of clients, I've found my niche interest in advocating for women's mental health. I obtained a certificate in Women's Mental Health from PESI and have continued to provide person-centered therapy to my clients along with utilizing aspects of CBT and ACT as coping techniques. My ultimate goal as a provider is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and supported right away. You are the expert of your own life and during sessions we will spend time exploring how you can best use our time to create the outcome you want.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My personal belief is that we were never meant to go through change, hardships, and challenges alone. Today, more than ever, we're living in a very emotionally isolating environment and people are dealing with struggles in a way they were never meant to; alone. I firmly believe that if given an environment where people feel seen, heard, and understood they can feel capable of tackling any problem presented to them and begin to take action. When most of my clients come to me for the first time they express the same concern: feeling stuck. Together we'll work together to empower you to take that first step and find a path forward.
