About My Clients
I work best with clients seeking compassionate, individualized care for challenges like anxiety, depression, PTSD, and ADHD. I support children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, offering life skills training, trauma recovery, and medication management when necessary. My ideal client values a holistic, empowering approach to mental wellness and is open to collaborative, evidence-based methods to enhance resilience and healing.
My Background and Approach
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 36 years of experience. My extensive work across healthcare settings has equipped me to provide effective, empathetic mental health care. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, and PTSD. Using approaches like Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and medication management, I create personalized plans that promote resilience and mental well-being. My focus on holistic care allows me to address mental health concerns with a mix of life skills training, trauma recovery techniques, and culturally sensitive care, ensuring each patient feels seen, supported, and empowered in their journey.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the importance of understanding each person as a whole, not just as a set of symptoms. My work is guided by compassion, empathy, and a commitment to helping my clients achieve greater well-being. I’m passionate about providing trauma-informed, culturally sensitive care, rooted in values of kindness and connection. Through my practice, I aim to empower clients to build resilience and healing, using approaches that align with their individual needs. Outside of work, I enjoy connecting with others through shared experiences and learning new skills, like tap dancing. My goal is to foster a supportive space where clients feel safe and validated on their path to wellness.
