About My Clients
I work with individuals, couples and families who find themselves in the midst of chaos or rigidity (and often a combination of both) , figuring out how to navigate the chapters of life. I work with children, teens, adults, couples and families to create healthy patterns of relating and connecting to others in order to cultivate compassion. I also work with older adults and families dealing with dementia.
My Background and Approach
I have a background in Child and Adolescent Development with a specialty in Interpersonal Neurobiology, an interdisciplinary framework that takes into consideration how the mind, body and our relationships intersect and create our unique experiences. I have over 10 years of experience working with young children through early adulthood in settings such as education, family dynamics and complex trauma. It is my passion to help cultivate secure attachments between parents and children and healthy ways of relating with ourselves and others. I also have an extensive background working with older adults with dementias and their family (especially those in a caregiving role).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My approach incorporates humor, art, play, literature, mindfulness and quality reflections. I believe in meeting my clients where they are. I allow my clients to guide the therapeutic process through their unique experiences, prefrences and insights.
