About My Clients
My focus is on general mental health, providing space for life difficulties. Anxiety, depression, and situational circumstance issues are key topics of focus. My previous experience in the field has been focused more on community mental health, primarily focusing on LGBTQ+ populations, Person’s with Disabilities, and Indigenous populations. My values highlight everyone being able to receive adequate mental health care, and I take an effort in the community to help lessen the disparity.
My Background and Approach
I first received my Associate of Arts in Psychology at Coconino Community College, and I then received my Bachelor’s of Science in Psychological Sciences with a Clinical/Health emphasis, with a minor in Sociology, from Northern Arizona University. Now, I am currently receiving my Master’s of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from NAU’s North Valley Campus. I am currently a Pre-Licensed Professional with a Bachelor of Science. I am currently working under the direct supervision of Jessica Fletcher, MC, LPC, CCTS, TCYM. I am a graduate student in the Master of Arts Clinical Mental Health program at NAU, working toward licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
To me, therapy is a place to explore yourself and the world around you. I view the complexities of life as integral parts of one’s self-being: we are who we are in part because of the world around us. I view therapy as a place to be able to evaluate the parts of oneself and how they affect the whole person, while integrating the outside parts that affect us as well. My style is an integrative approach that meets the person where they’re at with authenticity and helps build their perseverance.
