About My Clients
Are you drained from trying to pretend like everything is fine, when inside you feel anything BUT fine? Do you feel like a spectator of life and the relationships around you, rather than an active participant? Maybe the belief or phrases "there's something wrong with me..." or "I just don't feel right" sound familiar to you. If this is you, it doesn't need to be this hard and you don't have to figure it all out on your own.
My Background and Approach
I am here to help you illuminate your inner courage to trust you deserve to feel better. My practice primarily incorporates mindfulness based skill building, somatic work, and psychoeducation. During sessions, I incorporate active practices so you can find the skills that work for you to help you go from trying to think yourself better to actually feeling better. We'll discuss how your concerns started and explore what might be some of the causes, but we will also focus on what you can do NOW to help you heal wounds and heal your relationship with yourself. There's nothing wrong with you. Let's work together to help you trust that, too.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe you are already whole, no matter what you have been through. Our cultures, societies, social expectations, and families affect how we view ourselves and the world. In order to heal, we have to become aware of those narratives and be able to build trust and compassion within ourselves. I am LGBTQ+ and non-binary affirming. I believe in the healing power of mindfulness, the arts, animal friendship, and nature. I believe that marginalized voices need to be at the forefront of our culture so that we can grow a sense of global belonging for all.
