About My Clients
Do you wonder if your problem is too big or too small to discuss? Do you ever feel like you are either too much or not enough? By validating our experiences through acceptance and understanding, we can 'right size' our responses and approach them with clarity. Life is filled with complex challenges—trauma, grief, relationship hurdles—and my passion lies in helping people navigate all sizes of feelings. We’re all on a journey toward peace and self-acceptance. Let’s find a path together.
My Background and Approach
I’m trained in several therapeutic methods, with a particular focus on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I place great importance on the therapeutic relationship and use a values-based approach to guide our work together. We’ll start by identifying your core values and personal strengths, which will serve as the foundation for a treatment plan tailored to your specific goals. This might include developing skills for coping, problem-solving, mood management, communication, setting boundaries, or exploring relationships. In our sessions, we’ll work on separating big feelings from big behaviors to build a greater understanding of how your emotions and actions connect to your life experiences. I’m here to help you discover how your natural strengths can foster resilience and independence. My focus is on bringing out your inherent strengths and aligning your behaviors with your values. It’s about cultivating compassion for all parts of yourself.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the power of change. Life opens up when we approach ourselves and others with a ‘be curious, not furious’ mindset. At the heart of my practice is a deep respect for the uniqueness of each individual. All types of people and cultures are welcomed and respected in my office.
