About My Clients

My clients are typically sensitive, creative people suffering from PTSD. They have a longing to connect to something greater than their wounded/traumatized parts. (ie: shame, self- loathing, low self esteem, co-dependency, frozen energy) They are willing to go through the challenging process of deep spiritual transformation to re-claim lost parts of themselves, to free up frozen energy, and express their true creative selves once again. And to have healthy, safe and rewarding relationships.

My Background and Approach

I trained in Clinical Social Work and Psycho-Spiritual Processing, as well as EMDR for (PTSD) Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I have been working with clients for 32 years, the last 16 years in private practice. I incorporate music and the creative arts into sessions as a healing modality. Dog - Assisted EMDR Therapy is offered as a sense of safety and comfort for clients with PTSD. Meditation, Breathing, Visualization, and Somatic /Body-Focused Exercises gradually increase permanent positive change in the nervous system, as well as in un-true belief systems.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that there is a spiritual force greater than our limited minds and egos. Change on the planet can be approached externally and internally. Though I have spent my professional life going at it from an intra-psychic spiritual approach to slowly improve consciousness from the inside out, I am passionate about the outer world elimination of racism, sexism, agism, poverty and environmental destruction. I am very sad about the rapid decline of beauty and natural resources of mother earth. I care deeply about the oceans and its' creatures. I work to protect them through volunteering for environmental and animal rights organizations. I sing in a chorus that performs at marches, rallies and events singing songs about the above. I do believe that despite our behaviors as humans, our innate essence is that of goodness, compassion and kindness. If we are going to save our planet , ourselves and each other, those are the qualities in us that need to be activated now and cultivated.
