About My Clients
I work with adults and couples who tend to overthink, put pressure on themselves, or feel caught in patterns they want to better understand and change. Many are navigating anxiety, relationship or parenting challenges, creative blocks, trauma, or major life transitions. I have a particular interest in working with artists and creatives and supporting clients through pregnancy, postpartum, and matrescence.
My Background and Approach
My background in the arts, philosophy, and meditation continues to shape the way I approach therapy. I work from an integrative, trauma-informed perspective, drawing primarily from psychodynamic therapy and mindfulness while also incorporating somatic practices, CBT, DBT, and other evidence-based approaches when helpful. I pay attention to both present-day stressors and the deeper emotional and relational patterns that may be influencing how you respond to them. With attention to both mind and body, our work can deepen self-awareness, strengthen self-trust, and create more flexibility in how you relate to yourself and others. My style is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental, and my practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe the ways we protect ourselves, seek connection, and try to stay in control often make sense in the context of our lives. Patterns that once helped us adapt can become limiting over time, especially during periods of stress or change. I see therapy as a collaborative process of understanding these patterns with curiosity rather than judgment. I believe meaningful change often comes from developing greater awareness, compassion, and trust in ourselves while also making room for new ways of responding. I value the relationship between mind and body and believe each person’s history, relationships, identity, and environment are important parts of understanding their experience.
