About My Clients
Ever feel like you walk through life and talk negatively to yourself? Do you feel like you can't stand up to yourself? I understand the fear and panic among other feelings that you might feel in these situations. I can help you walk through the difficult memories and feelings that you have experienced in your life by reducing the fear by using techniques like Parts Work and EMDR.
My Background and Approach
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Parts work, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Humanistic Approach, and Solution Focused techniques. I use these techniques to help treat individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, and communication difficulties. I will work with you to target and understand what your triggers are; and then work to ground you and help you feel better over time. In session, I focus on the emotional struggles of the week, breathing exercises, visualizations, and grounding tools. This approach helps clients feel more grounded, secure in themselves, and gain the confidence needed to go through life. My style is empathetic, engaging, and calming. When clients first start therapy, I will work to understand the client's history, what their goals are, what is encouraging them, and what they would like to gain out of the sessions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
At Grounding Tree Therapy, it's my belief that you can grow and adapt at anytime while becoming stronger and more resilient in all aspects of life. Change is hard to go through but even trees have to change each season to get stronger. Ensuring that you will learn about yourself, I can help give you the confidence to be able to set boundaries and express yourself without feeling like you are pushing your true self aside. I can support you on your journey by helping you identify challenges like triggers, communication difficulties, and relationships which in turn helps you live a healthier and happier life.
