About My Clients
I support clients navigating life transitions, complex trauma, burnout, anxiety, depression, career stress, divorce, infidelity recovery, grief, and adult survivors of domestic violence, abuse, and sexual assault. When we are going through something difficult, it can be hard to see the way out, especially when our usual ways of coping no longer seem to work. I will meet you where you are with care, understanding, and warmth. You are not alone.
My Background and Approach
I offer a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel seen, understood, and accepted exactly as you are. I believe you are the expert in your own experience, and I approach therapy from a trauma-informed and person-centered lens. You can expect therapy with me to feel conversational and caring. I will walk with you wherever you need to go to help heal the past, live in the present, and build for the future. During my training, I worked at the Hays-Caldwell Women’s Center counseling survivors of trauma, domestic violence, sexual assault, and family violence. I am a trained survivor advocate. I also provided individual therapy at the Texas State Community Counseling and Wellness Center to adult clients navigating the impact of childhood trauma, high-stress work environments, life transitions, existential concerns, career concerns, perfectionism, self-doubt, anxiety, depression, and more. I received my M.A. in Professional Counseling from Texas State University.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Before becoming a therapist in my 30s, I worked as a licensed attorney. I have an understanding of what it's like to navigate high-stress environments and the tension between professional identity/success and personal well-being. I am a down-to-earth, thoughtful, and genuine person. When I’m not in session, I am spending time with friends and family, walking my dogs, deep in a book, trying a new restaurant, writing in my journal, or traveling somewhere new.
