About My Clients
My clients are teens and adults who struggle with intrusive thoughts, anxiety, panic, or are healing from traumatic events or upbringings. They are couples who feel disconnected or struggle to feel heard. Underneath these symptoms, there's often a deeper narrative, sometimes involving trauma or unresolved issues.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in providing evidence-based care to help people navigate trauma & PTSD, anxiety, OCD, and relationship issues. I believe the best care is tailored to the individual, rather than overly rigid. I value an integrated approach, where I draw from multiple therapeutic modalities in response to what connects with my clients. Feel free to inquire more about my specific training! I aim to avoid cost being a barrier to treatment. I offer flexible self-pay rates, ranging from $50-$90, based on a "good-faith" estimate of need, with no paperwork or application process necessary.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I would describe myself as a left-leaning individual and an agnostic/atheist. I believe that mental health issues arise out of a complex interaction of individual and social factors. While we often treat mental health issues as individual pathologies, I firmly believe that acknowledging harmful systems and advocating for social issues plays a critical role in "treatment." In my work with clients, I invite an authentic and honest conversation about how society impacts our well-being, while balancing this ongoing dialogue with a healthy dose of empowerment to reclaim our narrative from those external forces. It's impossible, in my eyes, to treat people as sterile beings detached from the systems and dynamics that form them. It's also crucial, however, to locate our power and take charge of our healing process.
