About My Clients
I am passionate about working with those who have experienced trauma in any of its forms. I have a special focus on those navigating medical complexities (cancer, chronic illness/pain, new diagnosis), caregivers, and medical providers. I began my career working in an oncology hospital and I have lived experience with caregiving to medically complex loved ones. I also focus on those who have experienced pain in religious settings, including those deconstructing or with identity conflicts.
My Background and Approach
I primarily blend Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Brainspotting, and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy in my work with adults and couples. My style is warm, affirming, and takes into consideration all parts of your experiences. I aim to strike the balance between processing the past and taking tangible steps towards healing and growth. I believe the best therapy lives in the intersection of validation and challenge to bring you forward. I am neurodiversity affirming, welcoming of all persons who choose to work with me. I have a experience supporting loved ones of those with LGBTQ+ identities process their own adjustments to a loved ones identities. Additionally, I spent the first several years of my career working in oncology settings, from diagnosis to end of life, and have ample experience navigating the complexities of medical challenges, including the demands of adjusting to the disease, navigated treatment and caregiving, and navigating grief and loss.
