About My Clients

You may know exactly what’s bringing you to therapy, or you may just know you don’t feel like yourself anymore. I work with teens (12+) and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, relationship concerns, identity exploration, infertility, religious trauma, and life transitions. I especially enjoy supporting LGBTQIA2P+ clients and survivors of childhood, sexual, and interpersonal trauma. You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out.

My Background and Approach

Before becoming a therapist, I spent over 9 years in community-based victim advocacy, supporting survivors of sexual and interpersonal violence. That experience continues to shape how I practice today, grounding my work in trauma-informed care, empowerment, and a deep respect for your autonomy. I have specialized training in EMDR, complex trauma, IFS, somatic approaches, and DBT skills, which allows us to move beyond simply managing symptoms and explore what’s underneath them. My approach is holistic and collaborative, as I don’t believe therapy should be one-size-fits-all. Together, we can understand how your experiences, relationships, identity, nervous system, and environment have shaped the ways you learned to survive and find approaches that actually fit you. As a queer therapist, I’m especially committed to providing LGBTQIA+ clients with affirming care where you don’t have to educate your therapist or minimize parts of who you are.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a queer therapist, I care deeply about creating spaces where LGBTQIA2P+ people and families feel genuinely welcomed, affirmed, and understood. I believe therapy cannot be separated from the world we live in; systems of oppression, discrimination, culture, relationships, access to care, and community all shape mental health and healing. My work is grounded in social justice, bodily and reproductive autonomy, trauma-informed care, and a commitment to continually examining my own biases and privilege. I take a non-pathologizing approach and believe many of the things we call “symptoms” began as ways of surviving, adapting, or protecting ourselves. I value curiosity, authenticity, humor, compassion, and collaboration. I want therapy to be a space where you can bring your full self without having to make yourself smaller, more palatable, or easier for others to understand.
