About My Clients
I work best with adolescents and young adults navigating anxiety, stress, perfectionism, self-esteem, or major life transitions. My experience in school settings has given me a strong understanding of the academic, social, and emotional challenges that can come with this stage of life. I enjoy helping clients navigate changes such as starting college, adjusting to new environments or relationships, and figuring out what comes next while building confidence and healthier ways to cope.
My Background and Approach
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I bring experience working with children, adolescents and young adults in both school settings and private practice. My background in social work has given me a strong understanding of the many factors that can impact mental health, while my experience in schools has helped me understand the academic, social, and emotional challenges that often come with this stage of life. I specialize in supporting clients experiencing anxiety, perfectionism, self-esteem concerns, stress, and life transitions. My approach is collaborative, person-centered, and grounded in the belief that everyone deserves care that is respectful, affirming, and responsive to their unique experiences. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a real relationship. I'm not a "blank slate" therapist, I bring warmth, authenticity, and genuine care into every session. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
One of the things that initially drew me to social work was that it looks beyond the clinical side of mental health. My education taught me to consider the whole person—their relationships, family, culture, identity, environment, experiences, and the larger world around them—and how all of these pieces can influence mental health and well-being. My experience working with people from a variety of backgrounds has shaped the way I connect with clients. I try to approach each person with curiosity and without judgment, recognizing that everyone brings their own experiences, strengths, challenges, and perspectives into therapy. I believe this broader perspective allows me to build genuine connections with clients and create a space where they feel understood as a whole person.
