About My Clients

You might feel like you’re living a double life—holding things together on the outside while struggling with sex, substances, or relationship patterns that feel hard to stop. Many of my clients are LGBTQ+ and navigating shame, confusion, or disconnection around intimacy and identity. Together, we look at what’s underneath these patterns—not just manage them—so you can move toward a more honest, stable, and connected life.

My Background and Approach

With over 15 years of experience, my work is highly specialized at the intersection of trauma, compulsive sexual behavior, substance use, and LGBTQ+ identity. I integrate EMDR and CSAT training to address both the behavioral patterns and the underlying trauma that sustain them—helping you understand not just what’s happening, but why. Rather than focusing on control alone, we look at how these patterns function—often as ways to regulate overwhelming emotions, attachment wounds, or identity-based stress. This creates space for change that is more sustainable and aligned. I don’t view your sexuality or identity as something to fix. Our work centers on separating shame from who you are, so you can make intentional, grounded choices. We move at your pace, prioritizing understanding before change—you don’t have to have it all figured out to begin.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I’m a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and strongly support social justice and equity-focused work. I believe therapy should be a space where all parts of you are welcome—without judgment or the need to explain your identity. My work is grounded in the belief that everyone deserves dignity, respect, and access to care that affirms who they are. Recovery from substance use is both a personal belief and a professional passion of mine. I see recovery as expansive and individualized—something that creates more freedom, connection, and honesty in your life, rather than restriction. Outside of my clinical work, I value staying connected to community and to myself. I enjoy weight lifting, cooking, gardening, and caring for my dogs, and I also foster animals. These practices help me stay grounded and connected to the same balance and intention I encourage in my work with clients.
