About My Clients
While I am happy to work with everyone, my primary focus has been with the LGBTQ+ population who struggle with anxiety, depression, identity, and trauma, among other challenges. Using an intersectional, empathetic, and trauma-informed framework I strive to help you navigate personal and interpersonal barriers in a way that empowers you to pursue your goals, and overcome internal and external strife. I meet you where you are at, so you can feel seen as we work together.
My Background and Approach
Rooted in a holistic perspective grounded in compassion, I utilize an eclectic array of approaches that promote symptom management, introspection and internal awareness, and radical acceptance in order to address current challenges, identify potential implicit assumptions and/or patterns that negatively impact wellbeing, and reframe perceptions around difficult situations in order to promote positive change in a comprehensive manner.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Marginalized communities often internalize negative messaging that harms our ability to connect with ourselves. We often unconsciously develop strategies to help us survive these environments, that can ultimately make it difficult to thrive. I believe that by uncovering and processing these strategies we can replace them with more effective and affirming thought/emotional/behavioral patterns, allowing us to live a more intentional and fulfilling life; by developing a non-judgmental and supportive relationship with ourselves, we can change the way to treat ourselves, and by extension, how we relate to others.
