Many of my clients come to me feeling stuck—caught between who they are and who they want to be. Maybe past experiences are holding you back, or current stressors feel overwhelming. Perhaps your relationships need healing, or you're finally ready to address patterns of addiction or compulsive behavior. Whatever brought you here, know that change is possible.
My Background and Approach
Sometimes, in your desire to change, you can feel stuck or uncertain. These feelings are common among many people. These feelings can also able to be overcome through therapy and therapeutic interventions. You do not need to let your emotions stop you from making a change in your life. Therapy works best when you feel truly seen and understood. In our work together, you'll find a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore what's holding you back and develop practical tools for moving for moving forward. I believe in your capacity for growth, and I'm committed to walking alongside you through the hard parts.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that you are in charge of your own life -- I'm just here to help point out all the different paths you could possibly traverse. Outside of being a therapist, I am someone who has spent a lot of time doing my own work and continue to do so to this day. I like volunteering and actively giving back to my LGBTQ+ community, and my values align closely with a social justice framework. I believe in being informed about my decisions, but not drowning myself in information. I love my pets (I named my practice for my dogs), reading, baking, college basketball and all Philadelphia sports teams (once an east coast person, always an east coast person).
