About My Clients
Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or held back by past trauma? Do you use food to cope with distressing emotions? You don’t have to face this alone—healing is possible. I specialize in helping individuals navigate the intricate connection between trauma and their relationship with food through a trauma-informed lens. Whether you’re struggling with disordered eating, body image concerns, or the lingering effects of past trauma, I offer a compassionate approach to support your healing.
My Background and Approach
I am a trauma-informed, therapist committed to helping individuals address the underlying wounds that may be keeping them stuck in recovery. I specialize in treating eating disorders, sexual trauma, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. I am trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for the treatment of trauma. In addition, I have worked at a leading eating disorder treatment center in NYC, serving as a lead IOP therapist. I regularly undergo professional development trainings to enhance my skills and education. Together, we’ll work to process painful memories, break free from harmful patterns, and develop coping strategies to regain a sense of control.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe representation, diversity, and inclusion are essential in the mental health field. Everyone, regardless of their background or identity, deserves equitable access to care. My goal is to de-stigmatize mental health, particularly within marginalized communities, by increasing awareness and providing trauma-informed therapy for those too often overlooked in this space.
