About My Clients
Sometimes we experience feelings of hollowness, sadness, anger, and anxiety. These challenges can impact our relationships with others and ourselves while creating obstacles in our daily lives. My professional and lived experience allows me to connect with those who have family trauma, mood disorders, and borderline traits. I also serve other individuals in the LGBTQ+ community, especially as it relates to exploring and defining personal identity.
My Background and Approach
I use a trauma-informed perspective to treat the whole person, not just symptoms. This means taking your internal experiences, family dynamics, identity, and possible social barriers into account to provide care that is the best fit for you. Once we start understanding who we are and how we got here, it gives us the best chance at building meaningful life. To further my ability to work with different types of trauma, I am also trained in EMDR and am receiving training in the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I strive to act with openness, honesty, and humility to help clients feel safe enough to be curious. It is also important to note that I take an anti-racist, social justice informed, and trans-affirming perspective in my practice to help offer an accepting environment for people in marginalized communities.
