About My Clients
Feeling frustrated or powerless with your relationships, careers, or patterns. Sometimes the source of pain can be contributed to unprocessed grief, mistreatment, or not feeling fully seen, heard, and acknowledged by family, peers, society, and culture. My clients often have a desire for personal growth, to find meaningful connections, and build confidence.
My Background and Approach
My personal experience understands intersectionality, and my curiosity always leads me to the nuanced because that is where the exceptions to our problem stories live, and a place to build change from. I trained at the Los Angeles LGBT Center, where I facilitated a GBTQ Men's Empowerment group, and a Healthy Relationships group. I received supervision and built my private practice at Through The Woods Therapy Center, a social-justice and strength-based oriented therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I specialize in Queer affirmative therapy for both individuals and partnerships. I believe in human dignity and freedom. It is meaningful to me, supporting clients in feeling more empowered and loving toward themselves. Your mental health being sustainably well is an act of activism. Gender and Sexuality are on a spectrum and alive. For those who do not feel they fit in a binary box that the world demands; it can be extremely frustrating, hurtful, or scary. Let’s talk about it, and make space for what feels like there is no space. I also am proud to provide a space where you can talk about sex, intimacy, and desire without censorship and it’s confidential! It may be hard to share about vulnerable aspects of sex and intimacy. I want to support you, in feeling more assured and free.
