About My Clients
You have to be strong all the time. You feel stuck. You can’t sleep. You feel your heart racing. You’re someone who is driven, kind and generous, but still find yourself struggling with healthy boundaries, feeling like you always put others needs above your own. You are ready to prioritize yourself. You are taking the first step by seeking therapy. Therapy will be done in your preferred language; Spanish, English or both and in person or virtually.
My Background and Approach
I have over nine years of experience treating diverse populations (children, families, adults) in a variety of mental health settings (group homes, rural areas, educational settings, in home behavioral services etc) in California. I believe in creating a therapeutic safe space that is culturally affirming. A space where you can be authentically YOU without fear of judgement. A space where you can be vulnerable and cry if you need to or perhaps learn that it is okay to cry, to feel and express yourself. I specialize in working with individuals struggling with anxiety, attachment, burnout, life transitions and trauma . Clients come to me looking for a therapist who can provide a balance of empathy, understanding and help with accountability and boundaries because therapy should be a place where you feel safe and heard. Sessions are at your pace. You will leave with tools in your pocket to cope with your symptoms and find calmness.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
We all go through transitions that are sometimes difficult to handle and affect our mental health. I believe everyone deserves a space where they can fully be themselves, rediscover who they are and reach those vulnerable spaces that have been repressed for days, weeks, months or possibly years. Asking for help is a skill that many struggle with but it is a life skill that can help take some of the weight off your shoulders, provide some relief, feel supported or heard. How many times has someone asked you, "How do you feel?" and you did not know. I can help you identify your feelings and practice breathing/ relaxation techniques and skills to help you feel and release those emotions that may feel stuck in your body.
