About My Clients
Whatever the hurts, heartaches, quandaries, and strivings that bring you here now, you do not have to carry them alone. I can help you find relief, but relief is only the beginning. If you struggle with cumulative trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, or loss, I can help. I also welcome people working on issues of spirituality and sexuality, helping professionals wanting to deepen their own work, and social changemakers honing their effectiveness.
My Background and Approach
I am passionate about the work I do and the ways I am continually changed by what I learn from and with my patients. I am honored by the trust people show in me. I bring a robust background of study and experience, an open heart, and a capacity to listen carefully. I am a psychoanalyst. I completed training at the Institute for Relational Psychoanalysis of Philadelphia, and was elected to serve as President of the Philadelphia Society for Psychoanalytic Psychology from 2024-2026. I earned my BA in Psychology at the College of Wooster, where I also studied music, and a PsyD from the Institute for Graduate Clinical Psychology at Widener University. I have written and taught about childism (oppression of children) and power relations in clinical process, and served for over a decade as a grassroots environmental and social justice community organizer. As a person with a visual disability, I also know what it’s like to find the way from shame to empowerment and advocacy.

Who would we be without our quirks, our weirdnesses, our uncertainties, and the good-and-bad flavors of our heritages? Whatever way we go, it is a worthy struggle. Through psychoanalysis, I strive to open up an exquisite invitation to every child existing in anyone, and to all those trying to be grown up, often convincingly, no matter how big or small - for us to discover together with purpose what we cannot know alone, to color on the invisible walls upon which actual ones are built, and to clamor with conviction for a world of care and justice that may or may not ever be realized. If we dare...
