About My Clients
Our tribes are so important but sometimes those tribes aren’t affirming or safe. My ideal client is one who is looking for a safe space to explore some heavy challenges. Together we will work through the challenges to find healing and acceptance. We hold the power inside us to live authentically and be celebrated not feared. I love empowering BIPOC and queer Folx at any stage of their life. This is a shame free, affirming space, to be celebrate and elevated for your authenticity.
My Background and Approach
I have been a huge queer activist for years and have also worked for a nonprofit that focuses on empowering marginalized communities by bridging the gap through music, art, drag, love, and community. I also have 10years of working in the harm reduction community by focusing on patients' needs and abilities in order to achieve recovery through many different paths. People who struggle with substance use face so much shame and stigma and I help them work through that, to help them achieve their full potential. Labels and diagnoses are not the focus when working together. During our time, you will lead the focus of our session. I will be there to help guide you on your journey of healing, by creating a safe space allowing you to prioritize the areas that are most important in your healing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in genuineness; I may be the therapist, but the authentic human connection and empowerment of my client is at the core of treatment. When focusing on healing, I look at all the dimensions of wellness. It is my responsibility to empower, advocate and support all Folx at every intersect. I am pro-humanity and believe in celebrating all of our marginalized communities. I am open to having difficult conversations and respectfully helping others understand that we are all part of a community that needs to work together by empowering each other. The world can feel very unwelcoming at times, just know I am on your team. I am not a religious therapist; I support autonomy over our own bodies, and I truly believe in ALL options for pregnancy, which include creating a safe space to discuss abortion. My heart is deeply rooted in the queer community, and I celebrate all walks of life. Kindness and love truly are the pillars that we should reinforce our communities with.
